Is there going to be paid training (e.g., for beginners) prior to the camp?

Interesting thought, John. If

Interesting thought, John. If there were, what sorts of things would people be desiring? “How-to” courses such as “How To Theme”, “How To Customize Drupal with your own brand spankin’ new module”? I daresay that these topics will probably be covered multiple times at the camp itself.

What I’m getting at here is that there’s probably a good chance people will be willing to pay for specialized, expert training at this camp, but what do people need most?

Site Building with Drupal 7

Submitted by christefano on Tue, 2011-08-02 16:37.

We’re offering a Site Building with Drupal 7 training on campus the day before the camp. The cost for the training is just $195 (just over half half off our regular price) but we can only do this if we have enough students to cover our costs. Help us by spreading the word!

Here’s the text about the training that we’ve had on our sponsor page:

Exaltation of Larks is offering a Site Building with Drupal 7 training on Friday August 5th, 2011, the day before this year’s DrupalCamp LA 2011, on campus at the University of California, Irvine. The cost of this full day of Drupal 7 training is just $195 — that’s more than half off the regular price!

10% of the profits from this training will be donated to the LA Drupal Association, so registering for this training benefits you and the whole LA Drupal community.

If there’s interest, we’re happy to repeat this training in Los Angeles after DrupalCamp LA.
