Directions & Parking
Location
Our event will be held in the UC Irvine Conference Center, on the campus of the University of California, Irvine, located in the city of Irvine, Orange County, California, near the I-405 freeway and Culver Dr.
Parking
Parking is $10/day in the Student Center Parking Structure, located directly across from the conference center, just east of the intersection of W Peltason Dr and Pereira Dr. Parking permits must be displayed on your dashboard. There is a parking kiosk with an attendant 7:00am-5:00pm Saturday, and 8:00am-1:00pm Sunday.
After hours, there is a permit dispenser at the parking structure entrance which accepts MasterCard, Visa or cash ($1, $5 bills and coins, exact change only).
Purchase your permit and display it on your dashboard. Parking enforcement is 24x7, and while the campus could use the money you'll pay for a parking ticket, it's a lot cheaper to pay for the daily permit. If you didn't see a parking kiosk when you entered the parking structure, find the kiosk and buy a parking permit. Park in any unmarked space, and walk out the way you came in, cross Pereira Dr., and enter the Conference Center.
UC attendees: there is permit reciprocity for parking permits from other UC campuses.
Looking to save on parking? Find a carpool partner in the fourms. There is also a small park-and-ride lot near the CA-73 and University Dr., about a 25 minute walk to the conference center. Cross University Dr. at the crosswalk and head right on the Peters Canyon Trail to Campus Dr., go right on Campus Dr, then right on W. Peltason to reach the conference center.

Metrolink/Bus service
Weekend Metrolink service and OCTA bus service are limited. The Tustin Metrolink station on the Orange County Line is the nearest train station to UC Irvine. OCTA bus fare is $1.50/ride with no transfers and exact change is required ($1 bills or coins $0.05 and up). A one-day pass is $4, which may save you money if you need to ride multiple buses or are planning a round-trip. You can walk from the Tustin Metrolink station to Culver and Irvine Center Dr (about 20 minutes). From there you can catch Bus 79 which goes to UCI.
From the Irvine Spectrum shopping center, you’ll take Bus 90 to Bus 79 to UCI. From the Irvine Metrolink station (in the Irvine Spectrum area) you’ll have to walk about 25 minutes to first catch Bus 90.
From LA, Google Transit has info for OCTA and Metrolink, so you can use that to plan a route.
Air
The UC Irvine campus is about 4 miles from Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA).
OCTA can get you to UCI with a fair bit of walking. However, OCTA service is limited on the weekend, so taking a taxi to the campus will save you a lot of time.
If you going to be staying in the area, several local hotels provide a shuttle to/from the airport, and to/from UCI.
