Howdy fellow Drupaleros! Going my way?

Just wondering if anyone will be driving down from LA both days & would like to carpool? I’m close to the 105 FWY where the Blue/Green Lines intersect (basically, smack dab in between the 110 FWY & the 710 FWY). I’d be glad to chip in for gas, pay for parking or buy ya lunch. :)

Normally, I’d take the train(s) in but MTA.net found zero results for that destination.

The train should work if you can’t find a ride. I was looking into this a lot before. It’s a pain, though. You have to go to Union Station and take the Metrolink Orange County line, I believe…which does go to Irvine. But I remember there was something kinda tricky about it. Try Google Maps, and once you get an idea of it, re-search on metro.net.

The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner goes through Irvine as well, though probably costs more than Metrolink.

From what I saw, public transportation is a big pain from Irvine Metrolink to UCI (bad enough that I made sure I’d have a car for DCLA)…so don’t forget to hit me up if you need to be picked up from the station.

Ya, I looked it up Kevin & the train’s a no-go. The earliest it’ll get me to Irvine is 10:20am, which is acceptable, but puts me 8.5miles out from UCI & it’d take OCTA 2.5hrs to get me from station to UCI. Hell, I could walk faster there than waiting for OCTA haha.

If I do take the train in (which is now looking unlikely since my BoF session got scheduled for 5pm saturday & the last train out of Irvine Metrolink is 5:15p), I’ll drop you a line. Thanks for the offer, homeslice!
