About
Magic still exists, and WizOne Solutions brings it to the Web.
I add that extra touch of programming wizardry to Web sites and delight you by making it do things that you didn’t really think it could.
I most enjoy:
- Updating existing sites with clever new functionality (especially – I never thought I’d say this – dynamic data-driven content pages, e.g. projects, events, etc.),
- Developing or enhancing integrations with third-party APIs (I’ve worked with CakeMail, Authorize.NET, PayPal, and Convio – both its REST API and Web Services SOAP API, to name a few)
- Fixing bugs and revitalizing code written by…other developers (I’ll leave it there)
Incidentally, those are what I do the most often!
But that’s not always what you need; luckily, I’m also familiar with theming and have a reasonable sense of what not to do. I’ve gained that from my experience working on Web sites as a volunteer and professional over the years.
I don’t create new designs, but I know an awesome Web Designer who does and with whom I’ve collaborated numerous times.
I have contributed code and documentation back to the community. I maintain and co-maintain modules. I’ve given support on IRC. I regularly attend local user groups and regional camps. I’m sending myself to DrupalCon. I even have my own personal initiative! Basically, I’m active in the Drupal community! Check out my Drupal.org profile.
Why does it matter that I’m active? It means that I have a higher chance of finding a solution or work around when I face issues in my work. It also means I have my finger closer to the pulse on what’s hot in Drupal.
Did I pique your interest? I don’t bite – in fact, I place high importance on accurate and timely communication, so get in touch, and let’s have a chat.
